The only case of LP gone bad I have personally encountered involved time theft. Every NFL Sunday, the LP would clock in, wait thirty minutes and then go to the local sports bar in the mall. Thirty Minutes before closing the store, he would arrive back and make sure all the closing duties were done. This involved three LP's (two college aged LP who didn't give a shit would cover for him). The reason it went on for so long was that they would make a ton of cases on Sundays (4-5) and they would put him down as primary. They would even call his cell and tell him to stop this person - and when I reviewed the video, sure enough he would be on the stop.
I have also heard of stores where there were no LPM's, the LP guys and gals would load up on merchandise daily. They stole around $100,000 themselves and allowed others to steal several hundred thousand as well. They had no supervision. I have also had cases where LP would play Xbox or PS3 in the camera room, and one found a way to get cable from the breakroom to the callup monitor...ugg What happened in your situation? Were they stealing or letting others steal? How did you come across it? |

I was "gently" reminded the other day that we have new policies about posting work/job/store related fare on any website.....sooooo, that being the case, I gotta be pretty generic.
Thanx to my boy panthy, I have watchdogs now! Anyhoo, it's pretty similar to Kawi's depiction and it when on for a good while. The fox was not only IN the henhouse, but was dressed as a hen. ![]() Seems I trained this one very well.....taught her all my best tricks.....BUT ONE!!! That's how I closed it out. Twas a VERY gratifying moment when I slapped the cuffs on! ![]()

Mine was a MAJOR case of betrayal. She was not only a friend and former coworker from another company...I actually took her place in the office when she promoted out, but she was also the fiance of one of our good friends too (several of us in the office had worked with each other at other places). Professionally, it was nice watching her get hauled away. Personally, I was disgusted that my friend would put us in that situation and disappointed in her poor decision. ...I can say it's a weird feeling watching someone get hauled away in a back seat and then 8 hours later, after providing some moral support for an upset friend, being at the county jail as someone you helped put in there is released....

I can't remember how long it has been since I last looked at this site. Funny how some things just don't change.
Good to see Souperdave is still saving the world by sending people to jail. I have to wonder just how bad that LP agent could have been for him to call them bad. LP agents go bad all the time. Probably just as frequent as any other employee, and usually for the same reasons. They don't like their boss is most common. Think about that the next time you catch one of your people stealing.
